Straight to Hell to BUTT Magazine

We are happy to announce that Butcher Queers will be participating in QUEER ZINES, an inclusive survey of over 100 publications by international independent publishers, curated by Philip Aarons and AA Bronson, with Alex Gartenfeld. The exhibition will be presented at Printed Matter's New York Art Book Fair. Being selected alongside BUTT and DIK fagazine is a real honour. BUTT magazine are hosting the after party, so here at Butcher Queers were fucking ragin that we can't go and play with arty bears.

Welcome to The Darkroom

For all you edgy gays, I absolutely insist you see The Darkroom by Neil Watkins which opens next week for the Dublin Fringe Festival.

"In A Drowned World where Madonna Reigns, Beautiful Strangers mingle and Justify their Love in a Secret place called the Dark Room. A pitch black cabaret comedy of Truths and Dares. One Superhero will Express Himself and Live To Tell, then Take A Bow"

Speaking to Neil during the week, I hear that the play is set in a strange cabaret with characters familiar and new. 16th - 21st September @ 9pm, preview 15th (€10) - Matinee 20th @ 3pm

I Love Zines

If you get your rocks off from queers and photocopiers, then look no further than The Queer Zine Archive Project (QZAP). It was first launched in November 2003 in an effort to preserve queer zines and make them available to other queers, researchers, historians, punks, and anyone else who has an interest DIY publishing and underground queer communities. We recently contacted QZAP and they are adding issues one and two of Butcher Queers to the archive shorlty. Deadly!
